My passion for the crazy sport of sleddog racing started in mid 2000 while I was living in Perth, Western Australia.  Bear was my team mate in those early days.

What a  rollercoaster ride it has been since then!  My first road trip with some girlfriends across the Nullabor to races on the east coast was in 2003.  We went to the Altitude 5000 Snow race at Dinner Plain, although I didn't enter, then we went on to the Canberra Sled Dog Classic where I raced in the two dog class.

In 2004, 2006 and 2007 I made the same trip from WA with that awesome group of girls and had loads of fun!!  In 2005 we decided to do different races and that year I competed in the Undera Sleddog Classic in Victoria and the Hunter Valley race in NSW.

In 2008, after my move to Victoria, I was able to compete in more races.  Some of which were a first for me and they included the SHCNSW Sleddog Shield at Grabine and the local Siberian Husky Club of Victoria races.  It's always fun to race on new trails and the dogs and I thoroughly enjoyed the challenge.

Summing up our 2012 season - This has been by far our most consistent year.  The highlight was winning and becoming the Australian Sleddog Sports Association national 6 dog champions at the Hunter Valley Sleddog Sprint.  My team did an awesome job and I was so proud of Alpine who had four of her progeny from her first litter racing with her along with Chena, who thinks of Ali as her mother.

My 6 dog team this season consisted of Alpine and Chena in lead, Rogue and Shelby in swing along with Winter and Elim in wheel.  Special thanks must go out to Tony Greenway and Robynne Greenwood for allowing me to run Shelby and Elim as without them, it never would of happened.

Lets hope 2013 is as good!!  Happy trails.
