SHAIWEST ARCTIC STARR

I write this with a heavy heart but know that Bear is in a better place.  Running free over the rainbow bridge and having a ball.  All of your brothers and sisters here miss you.

Where do you start?  Fifteen and a half years together and in that time we have been through a lot.  Great times and sad times.  We have lived in three different states.

Right from the very beginning, Bear chose me.  I went to look at a litter of puppies and he came straight over to us. We actually drove the hour back home only to turn around and go back and take him on the spot and once in our care, he settled really quickly.

Bear wasn't my first Siberian but he was to be my first racing dog.  He loved getting out on the trail and visiting his friends.  He didn't really like to run by himself and he would always take this as an opportunity to visit every tree on the trail, but was much happier when he had a running partner be it Andy, Butch, Sonny or Alaska.

Bear was such a character and loved his squeaky toys.  He would just keep on squeaking until Sonny had had enough of the noise and would take them off him and destroy them.  He had his favourites in the kennel namely Chena, Winter and Sass.  A strong willed boy who showed no pain and never gave up.

RIP my gorgeous Bear , always close to my heart and loved forever xx
